Located southeast of Jeffery City along Highway 287, Green Mountain Campground overlooks the historic Sweetwater Valley (map here). It's the perfect location to overnight on your way to Yellowstone or to host a summer family camping weekend. It also makes a great hunting camp in the fall.

Green Mountain Picnic Area
Located southeast of Jeffery City along Highway 287, Green Mountain Picnic Area is a real gem and one of the finest established camping areas in Fremont County. In the summer, beat the heat under the trees while enjoying the alpine breeze. In the fall, the golden aspens and bugling elk make for a truly Wyoming experience.
